My Makeup Diaries #1

My Makeup diaries

May 2, 2015

So, today, I finally tried the blotting the foundation before applying a setting powder technique as tipped by Mr. Wayne Goss (@gossmakeupartist) from his Youtube Channel yesterday. It really did gave me this awesome flawless no-makeup look. What I did as well is that I mixed my Myra-E Moisturizer with my HBC Matte Foundation since the foundation formula was too heavy for my face and it kind of caked after application. It made my foundation thinner as well. And I came to love the sponge instead of the brush now. I thought the sponge before was so difficult to use and I dread the day that I neglected my sponge blender. It’s so amazing and it works well that you look so natural like what you’ve got on your skin is just all that you needed. And I also kind of regret buying some stuffs that when I bought them I had little knowledge of how minimal their uses are like for example, the brushes I bought. Wayne said [I know, Wayne is like the makeup boss and my mentor ever since I watched his tip on how to use the foundation brush video] that you hardly need a number of brushes, at least three is what you need, a stippling brush, an eyeshadow brush, and a concealer/lip/tightlining artist’s brush. But you’ll learn best when you learned it the hard way. Or in the costly hardest way. ^_^

Okay, so today, I did some run down of what to do with my makeup since I’m about to start with or probably get my first job ever. So excited about it really because that means I’ll have my own source of income. And also, I had imagined what my room would look like as well if I had a few extra money to splurge for my bedroom [all-white is what I imagined for the overall theme]. And also for a Canon DSLR Camera. Those are my priorities for now before I head off to London and marry Harry Styles. Dang!

How much risk are you willing to take for an uncertain return?

by: Ad.Garzon

Life is more than just a journey you can take in one single leap of faith. It’s a journey where that leap of faith is the only force you can either give in to or not. It’s the yes or no. It’s the hello and the goodbye. It’s the space in between.

There are people who would pass your life in a way you never expected them to or rather; they’re those people you’ve never expected at all to be part of your precious life. You meet them. You hate them. But in the end, you learned to love them not because of who they are or of who you are when you’re with them, but it’s those things you’ve learned from them that you always try to deny or avoid to think of.

Patience is a virtue but sometimes, it becomes a different thing. It becomes a skill that you have to master. But it’s impossible unless you’re perfect. And nobody’s perfect.

Taking risk is taking all of these things in one single basket. But these are not the investments you’ll make; these are the materials that make up that basket of yours. Your investments are the sacrifices you make---the risks you’re willing to take. In life, return can be an invisible figure, an unseen force that will hold you to expect, to hope, to disappoint and be disappointed, to break you, to mend you. It’s that glue that can be easily washed away by water but when it’s gone, it’s gone. It’s volatile like stocks but it can also be reassuring like bonds. It can be a treasury bill when you’re depending on that person, however not far from that; it can be a demand when you expect a lot.

Yes, return is “utang na loob” but it can also be unconditional that is when return is zero but it’s still worth taking the risk. But how certain uncertainty can be?

Without risk, life is an empty basket. It stays there stagnant, no investments, no return, not even a zero-percent-worthy return. But regardless of that, are you willing to take risk for an uncertain return? Be human.

To Whom Do You Dedicate

Ad.Garzon

In life, we are given a lot of choices and then a span of chances arises. No matter how many choices we pick or how many chances do we take, it all goes down to the question, for whom do you dedicate those?

I had just finished watching the film, “Adult World”, starred by Emma Roberts, Evan Peters, and John Cusack. The film talks about how this poet became one. It’s like an awakening of an individual, a coming-of-age of writer to the adult world that is reality. In the film, I have learned that to be good, you should know first what makes you good, are you happy with it, and of course, for whom do you do it? These were the questions that really became the foundation of my understanding of this feeling. I’m not a published writer but I’ve always hoped for to be but I’ve never really thought of writing for myself, I’ve never thought of writing to a reader like myself. I mean, I might have but didn’t put much thought on it.

Today, I had a bad day. (I’m speaking of the events that occurred yesterday-Friday). I got pissed off with almost everything. It’s like everything around is messed up and then, just right now as I’m writing this, perhaps, that’s because I hadn’t gone to the one person who knows me best and can help me better than anyone else. Damn! I’m saying it out loud in my mind. I’ve sticking to my bad habits in solving these problems and going for several self-made therapeutic routines but in the end, all of these alternatives will come to an end and the one thing left is Him. And all this mentorship I’ve been wishing of was just actually a desire of finding someone who knows life better, who knows me better and to do the good things was the always the right thing. I guess God is calling me back home because I’ve been lost for a while. ^_^

I’m glad I wrote this because I wouldn't have realized that mentoring stuff. Indeed, God always has His ways, perfect ways. Thank you so much Lord! I mean, through this movie, indeed. Thumbs up!

Arctic Monkeys - Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High Lyrics

"Now it's 3 in the morning and I'm trying to change your mind
Left you multiple missed calls and to my message you reply."
